Stephen Oliver, who is leading the charge to stimulate demand for faster broadband speeds amongst the business community across Devon and the wider Somerset region, is keen to inform businesses leaders about the forthcoming opportunities for advice, support and involvement in and around the superfast broadband agenda and, utilising case studies from local businesses, demonstrate how faster broadband speeds contribute to business growth.
Connecting Devon and Somerset is working to bring improved and superfast broadband to areas that the commercial roll out, currently being delivered by BT, will not cover. The roll out in Taunton is part of BT’s commercial roll out.
The aim of the project is to have:
Improved broadband (>2 Mbps) to every business and community across Devon and Somerset by 2015
Superfast broadband (>24 Mbps) to at least 85% of the area by 2015, with 100% by 2020
If you would like more information about the Superfast Broadband project for your business please register to secure a place at the January Directors Forum event on 29th January at 3pm
The Directors Forum is the essential knowledge exchange and collaboration event for established ambitious businesses in Somerset and the wider South West. Attendance is restricted to Directors and Partners from private sector employers.
Places are limited so booking is essential. The fee for attendance at Directors Forum events is £12.50 + Vat per person. Please return payment by cheque with the booking form.
